Don't bring him back. He sucked in his second go round with the O's and he hasn't gotten any younger since then. Plus I still get get over what the juicer did to Raffy.
Now that the Orioles are progressing with their young talent, their idiotic decision makers are looking at another over the hill, former, and I do mean former, super star, looking for a final payday. How many of these mistakes are the Orioles management going to make? We owe Tejada NOTHING. He bad mouthed us on his way out to collect his millions elsewhere, so pardon me if I am a bit cynical about his having "enthusiasm" to come back. His only motivation is self serving, either greed or ego or both. Tell him to get lost. We are doing just fine without him.
Flaherty, Nick Johnson or Tejada as a utility 25th man? Now that Reimold is injured, I'm more inclined to hope for a decent outfielder to push Chavez back to the bench. But, Tejada is not much worse than Nick J if he can hit. Nick's only spot is 1st and Reynolds, Davis and Betemit can all play adequately there.
Of course Tejada has a lot of enthusiasm for Baltimore. But if it was Kansas City giving him a tryout, he'd have a lot of enthusiasm for the Royals. If it was Minnesota giving him a tryout he'd have a lot of enthusiasm for the Twins. If it was Pittsburgh giving him a try out he'd have a lot of enthusiasm for the Pirates. Please...no more Tejada; that ship has sailed....twice before.
My dog has alot of enthusiasm, too!
